Did you know it is October 20th? What happened to the time since the OCRA Annual Meeting?
Speaking of the Annual Meeting – SOCRA – What a fantastic meeting! It was very educational, not a boring moment. You all did a super job in organizing everything. Alice, as Regional Director, I want to say thank you to you and to SOCRA. The meeting was everything any registrar could ask for, from education to networking – PERFECT!
It truly has been a crazy month since the annual meeting. I have been preparing for survey here at Mercy Medical Center and reflecting on the past year as president and going into my last year with goals to achieve.
On the note of reflecting on the past year, I was greatly appreciative to be able to attend NCRA in Washington DC. The sessions were informational and speaking of networking, I attended the president’s breakfast, which was very interesting. The hot topic was regional meetings with multiple states. It is amazing how many states are coordinating these types of meetings. In 2018, New Orleans is the next NCRA meeting, and I am looking forward to attending.
Our first executive board meeting will be held on November 18, 2017, in Columbus at Mount Carmel East. I do extend the invitation to all OCRA members to attend the board meeting.
I am looking forward to this upcoming year and all the changes we will encounter.
